Piecing together the “Christmas Prince” timeline

A trilogy of hoky Netflix movies reveals a bizarre alternate history

Christmas Prince is a series of films from Netflix about a big city blogger who travels to the fictional kingdom of Aldovia and (shocker) marries the Aldovian Prince. In the second movie they briefly endanger the Aldovian economy. In the third they explore a 700 year old treaty with another fictional nation: Penglia. Anyone who has stopped to think about these movies for ten seconds is justifiably wondering what the fuck is up with Aldovia.

Thankfully, the third movie provides some insight in the form of a map, which reveals not only the location of Aldovia and Penglia (as well as Belgravia from The Princess Switch), but also an intriguing and wild alternate history. Everything here is taken from the three Christmas Prince films, Princess Switch, and whatever history knowledge I have off the top of my head. Here’s the map:
